After a short career in banking in my native country, Germany, I worked as a Naturopath in Australia. I have been counselling since 1999 and hold a Doctorate in Counselling  from UniSA. I have undergone further training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as part of the Doctorate in Counselling at UniSA and post-graduation ongoing professional development courses. I have tutored in several counselling courses of the Masters degree in Counselling studies at UniSA.

I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, the only therapist to be certified in South Australia (see aceft.com.au). From 2005 until 2008 I worked at Centacare as Men’s and Family Relationship Counsellor. In the last years I have presented workshops for Relationship Counsellors at annual conference of the Counselling Association of South Australia, conducted a series of Masterclasses for South Australian Relationship Counsellors on case conceptualization, emotions and power issues in relationships, and lectured Social Work students at Flinders University and Trainee Psychiatrists on Grief Counselling strategies.
